Gurnard Old English May Fayre will be held over two days, Sunday 1st and Monday the 2nd of May at Spencer's Field, Tuttons Hill, Gurnard.

The events start on Sunday with a Beer Festival from 13.00 to 18.00 which will have in addition to all the Island Brewery Ales, 5 Ales from Irving & Co of Portsmouth. Irving's ales have only been on the Island once before.

Malcolm Irving (who previously spent 11 years with Gales) will be joining us for a "Meet the Brewer" session with Free beer tasting from 13.30, which will give a very rare chance to discuss with a brewer his 'wares'. Entry to the beer festival is free.

On Sunday evening, following on from the success of last year, we will again be having a Barn dance, with licensed bar.

Music will be provided by The Crew, and Ian Watterson will be calling the dances and getting everyone moving.

Tickets are £5 which includes a £1.50 food voucher.

Last year was a sell out, so you are advised to get your tickets in advance from Gurnard News or Londis in the village.

On Mayday (Monday 2nd) after the traditional May Queen parade through the village (leaving Solent view at 13.00) there will be a Fayre in the field with bouncy castle, Sedan car races, cake stall, Bric a brac, Burgers, Ice creams, Maypole, entertainment from Bloodstone Border Morris and lots more. A great family day out.

The bar will also be open on Monday.

SEE YOU THERE!
