Read through takes place at The Simeon Arms, Simeon St, on 7th October - 6.30 sharp (back room).
Auditions take place on 8th, 9th, 10th and 11th October. Times will be arranged at the read through.
Actor-signers are invited to take part in auditions and a read through for a new musical production appearing at the Apollo Theatre in March 2014.
The musical, Rumpy Pumpy, was written by Island-based writer Barbara Jane Mackie and follows the story of two Hampshire WI members, Jean Johnson and Shirley Landels.
After seeing the news reports of the Ipswich Murders, Jean and Shirley decided to campaign to decriminalise all forms of prostitution and the UK’s thousands of illegal brothels. Jean and Shirley go on the hunt for the ‘perfect brothel’ following them to the mean streets of Amsterdam, the state of Nevada, New Zealand, meeting Bunny Girls, brother owners, sex shop owners and pimps.
