NCFE Level 1 Certificate in Carnival Masquerade

A half term course for young people 14 - 18

Venue: Shalfleet Community Hall
Dates: 13 - 17 February
Times: 10.30am - 3.30pm each day (25 hours)
Cost: including accreditation £40.
Young people living in the West Wight can access a subsidy (West Wight Landscape Partnership) making it only £10

This is a short and quite intensive course designed for young people who are thinking of pursuing a career in arts, design, fashion, performance or carnival and outdoor arts. Or just enjoy being involved in carnival!

The approach is very hands-on and informal with an emphasis on learning simple transferable skills in carnival costume making.

You will also have the opportunity to take part in the May Day Jouvay Parade in Yarmouth on May 6th
