Quay Arts invites you to place a bid in a silent auction of artworks donated by local artists, which will in turn help support Quay Arts deliver its diverse programme of visual arts, live events, film, education and workshops to the people of the Isle of Wight and south coast.

After April 2012 Quay Arts will not be part of the National Portfolio of Arts Council funded organisations. In addition, the Local Authority has reviewed its spending and will not be able to fund the Quay in the same way in the future. These fundamental changes, combined with the current economic climate, make for challenging times.

In response to this, artists across the Island have generously donated their work for auction in a bid to help raise funds for Quay Arts’ charity, Steve Ross Foundation for the Arts Charity Reg. No. 272007.

Works in Shhhhhhhh* include a host of signature pieces by some of the Island’s best loved artists. Vibrant photographic pieces by Eric Geddes hang along side energetic works by abstract painter Lisa Traxler and bold, gritty oil paintings by Peter Wright, among many many more. This is a fantastic opportunity to own and invest in original artwork, whilst supporting the Quay in a big way. Bidding begins on Thu 24 Nov and ends Thu 1 Dec at midday - the highest bidder wins, so make sure to keep an eye on your bid!
