RedTIE’s first adult production this year is sure to raise a few eyebrows.
The Goat or Who is Sylvia challenges our moral thinking, that is, where we draw the line in terms of sexuality and love. But it does this with such wit and humour that audiences will find themselves laughing at, what turns out to be, a very disturbing situation.
Terrie and Phil Burland play the sharp-witted,successsful and happily-married couple, Stevie and Martin, who are devastated when “best friend” Ross (played by Steve Reading) uncovers Martin’s secret.
Their son, Billy, is played by newcomer to the Island stage, Ben Curtis, who brings a wonderfully refreshing and comic element to the play.
The play is directed by Helen Reading.
This play contains strong language and deals with adult themes.
