THE South’s finest hairdressers will pit their cutting and colouring skills against one another as a competition takes place at Cowes Yacht Haven on April 19.

Scores of stylists are expected to battle it out in the competition, which will raise money for injured soldiers.

The fundraising event, in aid of Help for Heroes, will also feature a catwalk presentation and demonstration from Jonny Engstrom, award-winning stylist and art director for trendy salon, Guy Kremer.

The competition has been arranged by the National Hairdressing Federation’s southern branch and organisers hope it will encourage stylists to unleash their flair and artistic skills.

The show starts at 7pm and entry forms and tickets, which are £20, are available from Maggie at H4 Hair & Beauty, 72 High Street, Newport, Isle of Wight or Cut Hair Salon, 62 Fairoak Road, Bishopstoke, Southampton.
