Faux fest

A two-day music festival with a difference will be coming to the Isle of Wight in July.

FauxFest 2011, the brain child of Cherryl Clarke, joint manager of the Isle of Wight Donkey Sanctuary, will see some of the country’s leading tribute acts taking to the stage and it promises to be a real pop spectacle.

Hoping to attract 2,500 revellers for each day of the music extravaganza, it takes place on Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th July 2011 at the Sanctuary site, Lower Winston Farm, Wroxall.

EIGHT tribute acts will be taking part in the event, four on each day. Gates will open at 1:30pm and the first act will take to the stage at 3pm, followed by further performances on 5pm, 7pm and 9pm

SATURDAY
The FauxFest will kick off on the Saturday with Red Mick, a tribute to Simply Red’s Mick Hucknell and he will be followed by UltimateKylie (Kylie Minogue), Noasis (Oasis) with Elevation, The U2 Experience (U2) as headliners.

SUNDAY
The following day, first on will be Tania (Cher) followed by Andrew Browning (George Michael) and the AdamsJovi Experience (a combination of Bryan Adam and Bon Jovi) with the FauxFest reaching a climax on the Sunday night with the appearance of Ben as Michael Jackson – generally considered to be one of the best “Wacko Jacko” tribute acts in Europe, both as a singer and a dancer.

Tickets are priced at £15.00 for each day but Early Bird tickets are already available at £12.00 per day or just £20.00 for a weekend ticket.

The Early Bird tickets will be available until June 30th 2011 when normal price will kick in.
