Two historic houses in Alexandra Gardens in Ventnor will be open Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th September as part of English Heritage’s Open Days event.

There will be guided tours round the two houses, when you can learn about the street as a whole as well as the architectural and social history of the particular house, and cream teas will be available. See the rooms in which Sir Edward Elgar spent his honeymoon, learn about the movie shot in the street and hear which house is reputed to be haunted.
