"The Birth of Cinema" - an illustrated talk by Tony Dalton on the origins of the moving picture from its advent in 1893 to the pioneers of cinema over the following seventeen years, both in America and Europe.
The evening will also include a screening of Georges Melies' masterpiece "A Trip To the Moon' (1902).
Lectures are held at Freshwater Memorial Hall, and start at 8pm (doors open at 7.30pm).
Entrance for each lecture is £3 on the door.
