On Saturday 8th August 2-5 pm Wellow Green's 'Fizz and Fun' event will be held to raise funds for upkeep of the Green and its excellent Butterfly Garden.

The Yarmouth Fire Crew will be bringing the Yarmouth Station engine to Wellow Green on Saturday, to meet local people and help in raising funds.

This year's High Sheriff, Ron Holland will start off this year's Big Butterfly Count, a national initiative.

West Wight Sports will again organise sports, including a Tug o' War - we're looking for keen teams!

As ever, local businesses have given great prizes for the competitions and quizzes.

Our raffle prizes include family tickets to Bestival, kindly donated by Rob da Bank.

In Wellow Institute there will be a photo and artwork display celebrating West Wight's Wildlife.

Contributions to our wildlife display will be welcome.

There will be a barbecue, refreshments, teas and cakes.
