Isle of Wight based photographer Patrick Eden is holding an exhibition of his personal black and white work at Jolliffes Cafe and Art Gallery in Shooters Hill, High Street, Cowes, Isle of Wight.

He has been a full time photographer since 1985, this year celebrating 30 years in the profession.

"I was born on The Isle of Wight,I went to Manchester Polytechnic to study Graphic and Photographic Technology. Then London for a while, then returned to the Island to start up my business"

His work has been used throughout the world via the Image Bank/Getty and Alamy picture agencies. Stock pictures and commissioned work have also been published in such diverse publications as The Sunday Times, Telegraph, Mail, Express, Observer, Guardian, South China Morning Post, Time Magazine, Stern and Paris Match and many news papers and magazines world wide. His work has taken him to India, America, The Caribbean and Europe.

These pictures have been taken from 1978 onwards, predominantly during the 1980s, mostly on the Isle of Wight.

"I used to carry my Olympus OM-2 camera with a 28mm lens on it all the time. Just wondering around looking for pictures, it is a fun way to meet and chat with interesting people"

A book “It's Black and White” has also been published in conjunction with the exhibition.
