The Vectis Isle Pioneers mcc's annual 3 stage trial will be held at Knighton Sandpit, courtesy of Mr Roger Morgan, on Sunday 28th June 2015 at 10am.

This unique event is held in memory of the late Mr Dave Lee, the Club's former President.

The first stage will essentially be a normal trial, 4 laps of 8 observed sections, with no time penalties.(scores for this part will attract Championship points)

Stage two will consist of another 4 laps of the same 8 observed sections, this time with just 1 hour to complete the 4 laps, riders who take longer than the hour will incur time penalties.

Riders scores from the first two stages, including any time penalties are added together. In the final stage riders have an opportunity to reduce their overall score - Riders now have to ride the same sections but are not observed!

They now have to ride through the start & end gates of each section, in turn, for a predetermined time. For each completed lap in this stage points will be deducted from the riders first two stage totals - if a rider completes 10 laps then 10 points will be deducted.

Youth riders are not permitted to take part in speed events so a 'special test' will make up their third stage.

This would be an ideal event for spectators to come along and get a feel for what trials are all about. There will be a BBQ, tea & coffee etc. More information can be found on the Club's website, including our contact details.
