VENTNOR LIBRARY is delighted to promote the Isle of Wight Walking Festival along with Walk the Wight"s 25th year by offering an evening with David Yates and Richard Downing telling us about their experiences as walk leaders and participants.

David is Chairman of the IOW Long Distance Walkers Association, and has walked round the Island 23 times and completed the Walk the Wight on several occasions. He will be talking about some of his experiences and demonstrating the best kit to wear and how to avoid crippling blisters

Richard leads walks in the Island Walking Festival and specialises in heritage walks around Ventnor. He has also created a range of walking trails in various formats including leaflets that can be downloaded from websites. He will be talking about walking expectations, perceptions and abilities: how different we all are!

There will be refreshments offered and time for questions plus a few unforgettable experiences to hear about.
