To celebrate Heritage Open Days the Museum of Island History will be open FREE of charge on Thursday 11th September (10.30am – 4pm).

The museum situated in the historic Guildhall on Newport High Street displays the history of the Isle of Wight from fossils to festivals. Come and see the Island’s new archaeological finds and view an exhibition of Island Art. A fine selection of watercolours and oil paintings are on display including pictures from the Rowlandson collection which depict life on the Island in the 1790’s.
