AWARD WINNING SCREENWRITERS AT QUAY ARTS FRIDAY JULY 12 / 9.30-6.30PM / TICKETS £10.

This screenwriting workshop will provide young people who are aged between 16-26 years old with all the essential information, tips and tools for a career in television and screenwriting.

These sessions are suitable for both recent graduates who are looking to kick-start their career and sixth-form students who would simply like to find out more about working within the industry.

The one day workshop will be hands on and interactive, providing participants with a fantastic opportunity to gain new skills and an insight into the world of TV.

Over the course of the day we will look at all routes into the industry including; how to write a successful pitch, creating characters, structuring a screenplay and writing an effective scene. This is a one-off opportunity to meet professional writing experts who are working within the industry.

It will be led by;

•Will Gould, Head of Drama at Tiger Aspect Productions – credits include the BAFTA-nominated series Ripper Street (BBC 1), Public Enemies (BBC 2), The Deep (BBC 1), Love and Marriage (ITV 1), Murphy’s Law (BBC 1), As If (Channel 4).

•Daisy Coulam, who has years of experience writing for Eastenders, Holby City, Casualty and Doctors (all BBC 1).
