These workshops for students and adults are led by our Gallery Education team of artists. They take as their starting point one of our current exhibitions, guiding participants to create their own work in response. A fun way to try out new techniques.

Subterraneans (based on Urban Wastelands) Digging in to the Urban Wastelands theme, via a good dose of Jean Dubuffet and Antoni Tapies, Tim will show you a variety of painting and drawing techniques using pigments gathered and processed from nature. Beacons, Bridges and Cooling Towers (based on Urban Wastelands) Working from the themes of urban landscapes, create sculptures from a faded industrial past, rich with narrative and secrets.

Sat 27 Mar Jo Hummel-Newell
Me Inside (based on Lives of Spaces) Book workshop combining basic art theory with hands-on making, alongside some traditional bookmaking techniques. Please bring any personal collage material.
