Written by Eric Chappell, author of Rising Damp, this Black Comedy questions if suicide is the order of the day, who can assure you of the perfect ending?
In the case of Walter and Celia Bryce, the question is:what is the order of the day? Could the arrival of a Samaritan at the Bryce's country home demonstrate a lack of certainty as to their intentions?
The question is who wants to commit suicide? Or should the question be 'who wants who to commit suicide?' Who has Celia's best interests at heart?
Add in a rubber plant and a stoker from HMS Belfast and it gives you black comedy at its blackest and its best!
