The sounds of brass will ring out at four Island churches during the festive season thanks to Cowes Concert Band.

The popular brass band will be performing Christmas-themed concerts at the following venues:

28 November – All Saints’ Church, Gurnard at 7.45pm;

5 December – Binstead Methodist Church at 8pm;

12 December – East Cowes Methodist Church at 8pm;

19 December – St Mary’s Church, Cowes, at 8pm (supported by Cowes Rotary).

The band’s musical director, Andy Norman, said: “The distinct sound of a brass band is part of the Christmas tradition, mainly through the playing of carols. Our concerts will feature a mix of carols and other music with a Christmas theme which I’m sure the audiences will enjoy.”
