Ventnor Lantern Parade

Ventnor Lantern Parade is on Thursday 15th December and starts from the Youth Centre car park in Market Street at 5.45pm.

It will be led by Ventnor Carnival Queens Float and will go around the town as usual and finish at the park for “Carols in the Park” at 6.30pm. The singing will be lead by Bonchurch Village Singers and there will be mulled wine, mince pies and Father Christmas (thanks to Ventnor Enhancement Fund).

The route is: Market Street, Albert Street, Pier Street, High Street, Victoria Street, Dudley Road, Pier Street, Church Street, Belgrave Road, Park Road and into the park. Do come and view the parade and follow us to the park and join in the singing – song sheets will be provided. It promises to be a delightful evening so do come along and enjoy it.

There will be a rolling road closure in place while the parade is taking place. Motorists should not be held up for very long as the roads will be re-opened as soon as the parade has passed by, but please be patient if you are affected or avoid the town during this time.
