The Take Away Shows
French film-maker Vincent Moon visited VFringe Festival during 2010 to host a series of screenings in The Picture House in Ventnor.

Vincent has built a cult internet following with his collaborative Take Away Shows, or La Blogotheque.

Every week, the Take Away Show invites an artist or a band to play in the streets, in a bar, a park, or even in a flat or in an elevator, and the whole session is filmed.

Of course, what makes the beauty of it is all the little incidents, hesitations, and crazy stuff happening unexpectingly. They do not edit the videos so they look perfectly flawless. The raw sound of the surroundings is kept.

The goal is to try and capture instants: film the music just as it happens; without preparation, without tricks. Spontaneity is the keyword.

We plan to show a small selection of The Take Away Shows on the big screen with cinema quality sound.

Plus we are exclusively showing an interview with Vincent Moon shot in Ventnor during VFringe Festival 2010.
