Train walk

All aboard the Train Walk for autism The Isle of Wight Branch of The National Autistic Society (NAS) is holding a lapped 150m Thomas & Friends™ themed Train Walk at IW Steam Railway, Havenstreet on 24th July from 6.00pm – 8.00pm to help raise vital funds for the charity.

Based upon the classic Thomas & Friends books and characters, the Train Walk sees local families and friends walk together in a long train to help raise funds for local people affected by autism on the Isle of Wight.

Money raised from the NAS Isle of Wight Branch Train Walk will go towards providing branch services such as a branch resource library.

Louise Foley, NAS Isle of Wight Branch Officer, said: “Our Train Walk is going to be a fantastic day out for all the family. As well as the walk itself, there will also be activities available in the large playing field to include : Bouncy Castles, Chair- o-planes, Sit ‘n’ Ride Austin cars, and a BBQ. The café will also be open.

No Man is an Island will again be offering free fun activities for the children to be found in the large marquee. Sarah will be doing silk marbling with the children again - which proved very popular last year.

Melanie Swan will have fabric pens and paints for the children to enjoy and have something to take home to remember.

Graham McCullough will be coming along to provide us with some wonderful songs.

The Bestival Draw (2 Guest list places) will take place between 7.00 - 7.30pm.
