British Divers Marine Life Rescue (BDMLR) is a charity dedicated to the rescue and well being of all marine animals in distress around the UK.

The charity BDMLR consists of a network of trained and professional marine mammal medics (MMM) who respond to call outs from the general public, HM Coastguard, Police and RSPCA. Please note, there is no need to be a diver to be a supporter or to become a marine mammal medic.

Course fee is £90.00

Car Parking: Car parking next to sailing club.

Refreshments & Lunch: Tea and coffee available on site. Hot and cold food available in the cafe in the car park.

Practical Sessions: Beach is 20 metres away.

Toilets and changing facilities: Wash down and changing facilities on site.

Lifejackets: The course fee of £90.00 includes the supply of a life jacket, but please note that if the life jacket is not returned at the end of the day, a levy of £50.00 will be made for non-return.

Dry & Wet Suits: You must bring a dry or wetsuit, boots and gloves as part of the course will be in the water. If you are going to wear a wetsuit you must bring additional weatherproof clothing to wear whilst out of the water. This addition clothing is to ensure you do not get too cold when you come out of the water.

Interested? Then please log on to the national BDMLR website and register online.

Further event details will be also available on our local Isle of Wight BDMLR website
