Local photographers Christian Beasley and Sally Sturmey are exhibiting a selection of their images at the Quarr Abbey art gallery from 5th-10th September. The focus of their work is to show the beauty both of the Island and of the wider environment.

Christian has been a keen photographer for many years, and with the advert of high quality digital photography it has become his core interest. Last year he won the All Island Picture of the Year competition with an image from the annual Brambles Cricket match. Christian’s deep appreciation of the beauty of the Island is seen in his photos and in the title of his collection ‘Beautiful Wight’.

Sally grew up on the Island and describes herself as a documentary photographer. She has pursued photography as an art form, progressing from studies at ‘A’ Level through to University. She particularly enjoys themed photography projects. In her latest collection you will find David Hockney inspired pieces from around the Island and beyond.

Their work will include canvases (from £45), mounted prints and cards.

A preview of the exhibition will be held on Wednesday 4th Sept from 6.00-8.00pm during which canvases and prints will be available at a 15% discount.
