The Crafty Artists are together again at Quarr Abbey for their ‘Big and Bold’ Summer Exhibition.

Although we book most of our exhibitions well in advance and with nothing specific in mind, it seems that when we start to make our final preparations a theme seems to emerge, and this time it’s Big and Bold!

As this exhibition follows directly after their Open Studios weekend everyone seems to have been making a few statement pieces in preparation – hence the theme. But don’t worry if you prefer Small and Sweet, we’ve got that too!

Exhibitors this time include:

Gillian Chapman with her fabulous felt designs, and new big felt pots

Lis Toft with distinctive porcelain pots and gorgeous porcelain jewellery

Marion Large, who’s love of the desert is reflected in her wonderful paintings

Tim England with his unusual pots and small sculpted animals

Pauline Evans, beautiful glass with texture and a sculptural feel
