The focus of this meeting is to explain more about our plans, and coordinate various projects to raise awareness of the current proposal to award 5 blocks of the Isle of Wight to the Oil & Gas Industry for petroleum exploration and development, and keep people informed as things develop over the coming months.

Frack Free Isle of Wight are concerned that these licences could be awarded by the end of 2015. These blocks, along with others nationally, were subject to an open consultation which ends on 29th September, yet the majority of Island residents are still not even aware that this is happening.
