Back by popular demand, this year Bristol’s Sinead McCabe takes us from the early Bessie Smith blues shouts of the 1920s, through Mahalia Jackson’s Gospel songs to Ella Fitzgerald’s jazz classics, recapturing the best of Dinah Washington and Anita O’Day in the mid 1900s and on to later jazz icons Nina Simone, Diana Krall and many others.
