Following on from the Andy Norman Trio who play at the Boathouse on Saturday night, we’d like to welcome you to our Jazz Jam, hosted by Jim Thorne

Jim Thorne has become a well-established piano and keyboard player on the Island and can often be found accompanying mainland artists or performing with local musicians in Ryde, Cowes, Newport or Ventnor. As if that and holding down a demanding “day job” isn’t enough, he is also the main organiser of the excellent Newport Jazz Weekend, which this year will take place from 17 – 20 July.

Come and listen to Jim plus a host of jazz friends, some old, some newly discovered, and enjoy great jazz music in a variety of styles. Remember, requests are only played if written down on the back of a banknote…..
