When sweet and eccentric widow Mrs Wilberforce (Johnson) rents rooms in her house to a group of musicians, she has no idea that the gentlemen are in fact a gang of hardened criminals planning a sophisticated security van robbery.

Masterminded by the dastardly Professor Marcus (Guinness) and pretending to use her lodgings as a rehearsal space, it isn’t until after the heist that their troubles start.

With an ensemble cast of some of Britain’s finest acting talent, and a screenplay by William Rose that provides the cast with sparkling dialogue, this is a timeless classic from Ealing Studios and British comedy at its best and most subtle.
