COMPLETELY FREE CHRISTMAS FAIR

‘The Gift of Christmas’

Saturday 23rd November 2-4pm

St. James’s Church, Ryde, is once again organising a completely FREE Christmas Fair on Saturday 23rd November.

Everyone is welcome between 2-4pm into the church during the event to choose from a wide range of FREE gifts as well as free refreshments and the opportunity to hear about the real gift of Christmas.

We will have a variety of items to give away including; toys, books, men and women’s accessories and toiletries. Goods are brand new, homemade or very good second hand and each person is allowed to choose from two items from each stand to give as Christmas presents to family and friends. Goods have been donated from members of St James Church and from local shops and businesses.

The organiser, Lara Sussman, says, “There is no catch! Leave your purse at home and come and help yourself! We just want to share our gifts with you, to help you give gifts to those you love.”

The idea behind ‘The Gift of Christmas’ is to clearly demonstrate God’s love for people is completely free and to share that with others in the community. Last year, the event gave away gifts to just under 1,000 people, “Last year, we did have quite a few people in tears as they couldn't understand why we would be doing this for them, but that's what Christmas is all about, sharing God's love,” says organiser, Lara Sussman.

Free festive refreshments will be served in the café area and free advent calendars will be given away to families upon arrival. There will also be free face painting, nail art & temporary tattoos for the children and information about the real gift of Christmas.

To find out more contact Lara Sussman via the church office on 566381 or visit the St. James’s Church website www.stjamesryde.com
