As part of West Wight Landscape Partnership’s Local Heroes project, Brighstone Parish Council commissioned a plaque to commemorate the bravery of the lifeboat men taking to the seas to save lives along the back of the Wight.

The beautifully crafted bronze plaque was designed by Laura Lian and has been set into Portland stone by Wight Stonemasonry.

It is located outside Seely Hall, Brook and will be officially unveiled at 11am on Saturday 31st March 2012.
