In the spirit of Valentines, The Royal is hosting a very special romantic evening featuring a heady combination of passion, jazz and delicious food.

After a romantic three-course dinner guests will experience the sultry vocals of Edana Minghella - an accomplished jazz singer and mesmerising performer. Edana and her band will be performing a variety of love songs crafted to celebrate the power of love as well as occasionally pulling your heartstrings.

The menu for the evening has been specially created by BBC Countryfile Magazine, Food Hero Gioia Minghella, head chef Alan Staley and head pastry chef Emily Harris and is inspired by Italian passion.

Edana is from a phenomenally talented and creative Anglo-Italian family. An encounter with jazz trumpeter Guy Barker, who worked with her brother Anthony on The Talented Mr Ripley, inspired Edana to embark upon a journey as a jazz performer - she hasn't looked back.

Edana's new album , Still On My Feet, was produced by world renowned jazz sensation Liane Carroll, who also sings backing vocals, and features musicians Guy Barker, Guillermo Rozenthuler & James McMillan. Still On My Feet establishes Edana as a bright new voice on the jazz scene.

Her band features Mick Smith - piano, Pete Maxfield - double bass, Ken Black - drums and Sarah Bolter - saxophone.
