The Isle of Wight Chamber of Commerce, Tourism and Industry is marking its centenary year with a series of special events.
The first is an open day with free refreshments for new and previous members, with opportunities to meet some of the people and organisations who help make Chamber membership worthwhile, and to find out about the specially discounted centenary membership packages available.
The event will be held at the Chamber offices in Newport on Wednesday January 20 from 5.30pm to 8pm.
Among the people on hand will be:
Rob Williams from Cardnet – to show savings that can be made with chip and PIN machines;
Richard Webber from Utility Auditing – to discuss the savings on energy bills available for businesses;
Glen Bonner of Bookers wholesalers – to explain the extra benefits available to Chamber members; and
Marilyn Hughes from Tourism South East – for any new tourism members.
They will be joined by Kerstine Andrews, the Chamber’s Membership Officer, Carrie Almond from Young Chamber, and Lynette Herbst from Chamber Health.
Chamber General Manager Dean Pascall said: “2010 is a very special year for us, and we want as many organisations as possible to share the benefits of Chamber membership. We are proud of our record of continuous service to the island’s business community, and determined to keep adding to the range of significant benefits we offer our members. Now is definitely a very good time to join us!”
