Age Concern Isle of Wight is organising a Santa Dash Fun Run on 12th December as part of Newport Carnival.

The charity is asking for people from across the island to don a Santa suit and join the sponsored run, which is approximately one mile long, around the streets of Newport.

The event is open to adults and accompanied children over the age of eight, of any ability.

Children are encouraged to wear fancy dress to be topped off with a Santa hat provided by Age Concern Isle of Wight, while adults get a full Santa suit to keep.

Jo Dare, Chief Officer said: “This is our first Santa Dash, and we hope it will become a welcome addition to the festive calendar. We would love families, work colleagues and friends to join in the run, and help us to support more older people on the Island”.
