A family seaside story walk with plenty of stops for stories, and to find beach treasure, with storyteller, Sue Bailey. Find out why the crab has no head, or why the sea is salty. Wear suitable beach shoes!
Starting by the beach huts below the Woodvale, we will walk behind Gurnard Sailing Club to the ‘secret beach’. We will look for seaglass, limpets, crabs and other beach treasure and weave them into our stories. This is ideal for children who like fossicking amongst the rocks at low tide. Wear beach shoes or wellies.
Meet by the beach huts below the Woodvale. Closest bus stop (Route #1) is by the Roundhouse ~ 15 minutes walk away. Roadside parking available along the sea front. Sorry, this walk is not really suitable for buggies -Child carrier backpacks would be a better option for tiny siblings.
