BEFORE THE LAMPS WENT OUT is a collection of photographs, posters, newspaper articles, fashion sketches and a miscellany of information illustrating the lives of people before World War 1 changed their lives forever.
Put together by 'Friends of Ventnor Library' it tells its own story. Song sheets of the time showing the music hall style alongside photos and reports of the Suffragettes and Suffragists who fought for women's rights. It is all there and will interest all ages.
Ventnor Library is open all day Tuesday , Friday and Saturday plus Wednesday afternoons.
All welcome to this free exhibition that continues until the end of August.
