Ventnor Boxing Day Swim is a great event that see Ventonr and visitors come together and enjoy the madness of rushing into the sea.

In past years, thousands of people have gathered to watch 100+ brave souls run into the sea for their post-Christmas dip.

It’s an activity that certainly helps brush away the cobwebs.

If you are planning to take part, gather on the beach from 11.30am (don’t forget your fancy dress) and the swim starts on the whistle at midday (tides permitting).

Spectators can assemble along the esplanade to cheer on the swimmers.

Stick around in town afterwards to have a drink in one of the local cafes, restaurants or pubs.
