Based on the Isle of Wight, Coppersmith is a modern folk/blues duo playing all original songs. Glenn is the writer and he and Linda then develop the songs together. Glenn draws on many threads for his song writing, weaving together themes of nature, the sea, folk tales, history and modern day issues.

Beginning in theatre, where Glenn wrote several plays, Linda and Glenn have worked together for 13 years and have performed at Ventnor Fringe nearly every year since it began. Over the winter they worked with a very talented fiddle player, which added an Eastern European colour to their music.

Glenn’s wife Michelle is an important part of the team helping out in all areas and together Glenn and Michelle recently put on a Ukrainian fundraising event and also began a local folk club. Moving, uplifting with lots of energy, you'll soon be humming along and tapping your feet.
