6th - 20th September 2019 at St. Thomas Minster, Newport, Isle of Wight.

The exhibition will be open from 10am - 4pm Monday to Saturday. (Wednesdays 10.30 – 4pm)

Isle of Wight Embroiderers hold an exhibition every 3 years to highlight the work of our members.

For 2019 the theme is “Wild on Wight”, chosen to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Isle of Wight Natural History and Archaeological Society.

The embroidery on show will be diverse in terms of the styles, stitches and skills shown by our members and also the subject matter.

Expect to see flowers, trees, birds, insects and archaeology

All visitors to the exhibition are very welcome, you will have the opportunity to vote for your favourite piece. There will be small embroidered items to buy and some of the exhibits will be for sale. If you are local to the Island, you may be inspired to come and join our group.

Please don't be put off if you have never stitched before. We all have to start somewhere and our members range from beginners to the more accomplished stitchers.

The Exhibition will be officially opened on Friday, 6th September at 7.00pm by Dr Colin Pope, Vice President of the IWNHAS, and the Lord Lieutenant, Susie Sheldon will also attend.

Come and visit our exhibition and see how many different interpretations of the theme our members have conjured up.
