CANCELLED DUE TO RISE OF COVID-19 CASES

The Christmas Garden is back to light up Sandown Battery with festive spirit and fun for all the family.

This completely free community event on Sunday 19th December from 5pm – 7.30pm will celebrate one of Sandown Bay’s most fascinating monuments and coastal gardens, bringing the buildings and greenspace to brilliant life.

This year, The Christmas Garden will once again host its star-rivalling illuminations, craft workshops, tree dressing and musical performances.

Tuck into home-made drinks and treats, toast marshmallows on glowing campfires, dance in the snow (sort of!), make your own Christmas wishes or even your own reindeer.

The Christmas Garden is funded by The Common Space and Bay-based business ARC and curated by a team of young Bay creatives.

It’s hosted by one of the UK’s most curious micro-museums, the National Poo Museum too, home to possibly the world’s only talking toilet.

Find out more too on the night about Sandown’s Iris Manifesto and help us inspire revival in Sandown.

The Christmas Garden will take place at Sandown Barrack Battery on Talbot Road, Sandown on Sunday 19th December from 5pm – 7.30pm.

All free and all welcome.

Please do help keep everyone safe and healthy this Christmas… if you are experiencing any symptoms of Covid-19 (cough, high temperature, loss of taste or smell), please stay home this time.

Hand sanitisers will be available and we ask everyone to keep a safe distance from one another too. Masks welcome! Thanks
