Ryde Arts Festival 2017 presents ...

Platform 2 Ryde Esplanade Train Station

By observing gardeners on an allotment, Artist Joanne HummelNewell has drawn comparisons between planting system patterns and society and asks ‘are we a truly integrated and socially cohesive society’ and if not, then how can we be?

Rainbow Garden is a public artwork which sets out to remind passersby that community is a diverse patchwork of individuals who are all connected.

Working together with Community Rail, Ryde Arts Festival looks forward to a temporary installation which will be on display throughout the festival and IW Pride Weekend.

A permanent ceramic and enamel artwork will be installed in October 2017.
