Expect a right old knees-up… The Wurzels are appearing down on the farm this September!

Jack Up Events are bringing the Scrumpy and Western band best known for their number one hit ‘The Combine Harvester’ to their new farm site in Ryde for an evening of not-to-be-missed entertainment.

Taking place on the evening of Saturday 3rd September at the all-new Retro Staycations American Airstream glamping site, expect a special extended set with all the hits, stories and jokes from a career spanning more than 52 years.

As one of the UK's most enduring folk bands, The Wurzels formed in the 1960s. They've enjoyed plenty of chart success over the years, with their comedic folk hits including ‘I Am a Cider Drinker,’ ‘Ruby,’ and ‘Drink Up Thy Zider.’ Their lyrics are often packed full of double entendre, remaining true to their West Country wit and style.

The Wurzels continue to play over 100 shows a year to sell-out crowds all over the country, with regular festival appearances at Bestival, Guilfest, Finsbury Park and Glastonbury.

Support will be provided by The Redcatz Rock ‘n’ Roll trio.

Situated in a pretty meadow on a small working farm, overlooking the scenic views of nearby Brading Downs, this will be an open-air concert. With hay bales, a Real Ale bar courtesy of Island Ales (not just cider available…) and freshly cooked local produce BBQ prepared on-site by Hazelgrove Farm kitchen, it’s the ideal way to round off the Island’s Summer season.

Free parking is available on site. The event is unseated so attendees are encouraged to bring their own chairs and blankets to sit on. Posh toilet facilities are included in the ticket price.
