Merlynna studied piano and voice from a young age but it was not until her early forties that she suddenly knew she simply had to play a harp (Welsh ancestry?) She studied with Susan Allen in Leicester where she was gradually introduced to the wonderful world of harp ‘technique’. She studied education, languages and music in Sheffield and taught for many years in both state and private schools. Alongside the teaching, she has played celtic harp both at home and in Spain – in restaurants, at weddings and events. She has been able to enjoy many wonderful venues including the Chalice Well at Glastonbury at full moon.
