9.30am – 4.30pm
Portfolio Preparation is a non-accredited course bespoke to Quay Arts, aimed at mature students or younger people, designed to develop core skills whilst providing a range of exciting workshops with guest tutors. The course gives those taking part an opportunity to prepare a comprehensive portfolio and hone their presentation skills for entering art courses at university level. It offers the flavour of a Foundation Art course, on the Island.
The three-term course will give participants an opportunity to explore new avenues in art. Students will have the chance to cover and develop core skills in a variety of mediums, through workshops including drawing, painting, printing, traditional craft, and 3-dimensional sculpture.
The aim is to develop a portfolio of art and hone presentation skills which will further your art practice. Professional artists give a range of classes which will take place every Tuesday at Quay Arts and Jubilee stores (our studio workshop building located close by). The course will give you all you need to create an exciting and impressive portfolio and finishes with a showcase exhibition of students work at Quay Arts.
Portfolio Preparation is a one day a week course consisting of 30 Tuesdays over 3 terms from late February to mid December 2023 FEE : £2,300. The course is limited to 10 spaces and this will be its 4th year.
