Julia tuffs

A fun and irreverent evening of chat with YA authors Julia Tuffs and Kate Weston, hosted by comedian and scriptwriter Hannah George. Julia Tuffs‘ two brilliantly witty novels ‘Hexed’ and ‘Twice Hexed’ follow Jessie Jones through the trials and tribulations of years 10 and 11. With her first period comes new strange abilities, witchy powers she can use against the toxic masculinity of her nemesis Callum Henderson. Kate Weston is a former stand-up comedian and bookseller whose ‘Diary Of A Confused Feminist’ series of books tackle the mental, moral and physical challenges of a 16 year old girl trying to do the right thing in a complex and confusing modern world. Hannah George is known to many for the hilarious ‘Drunk Women Solving Crime’ podcasts, but she also writes for childrens TV, including ‘The Dumping Ground’ and ‘Andy And The Band’. Tickets £5 refundable on the purchase of a book. Bring your own refreshments.
