Come and join us as we Celebrate 100 Years of Insulin

Diabetes Group IOW are celebrating the discovery of life-saving Insulin with a dinner and speaker event.

Diabetes affects millions of people world- wide and this discovery has led to many more lives being saved over the years.

In 1921, a team of Canadian researchers discovered Insulin and ignited a century of ground-breaking innovations in diabetes care that have since saved thousands of lives.

Join us at this dinner event to celebrate the discovery of Insulin.

Event details follow:

Date: 8 April, 2022 from 6.30pm onwards at Island Sailing Club, 70 High Street, Cowes, PO31 7RE

Guest Speaker: We are pleased to host renowned diabetes specialist, Professor Partha Kar OBE, Consultant in Diabetes and Endocrinology, Diabetes, National Specialty Advisor NHS England/ Getting it Right First Time (GRIFT) Joint Clinical Diabetes Lead NHS Improvement.

Ticket Price: £25.50- includes glass of fizz on arrival, 2-course dinner, Coffee and Mints and after dinner speaker, plus live jazz band entertainment.

Entertainment: Live Jazz trio, dancing till 11pm.
