Following the sold out concert given by James Longford, piano, in October, the next recital in the West Wight Arts Association’s season will take place on Saturday November 12th 2022 at 7.00pm in Freshwater Memorial Hall. It will be given by the internationally acclaimed performers, violinist Jonian Kadesha and pianist Noam Greenberg.
An outsize personality and a phenomenal violinist, Kadesha is of Albanian and Greek origin. He plays in concert halls all over the world as soloist, chamber musician and director. The German newspaper Süddeutsche Zeitung said of him:
“To regard him simply as a huge talent is not enough: there is an element of pure genius in this young man”
Israeli pianist Noam Greenberg studied at the Rubin Academy in Tel Aviv and at Yale University, before moving to London to study with Maria Curcio. He enjoys a busy concert schedule as soloist, recitalist and chamber musician in both the traditional repertoire and new music.
‘Noam Greenberg is a tremendous pianist... playing with beautiful tone and style…’ Classical Source
There will be something for everyone in their programme, folk music from Romania in the two Enescu pieces, virtuoso violin and piano music from Hungary by Bartók and two glorious staples of the classical repertoire, Mozart’s violin and piano sonatas no 32 in B flat major K 454 and no 21 in E minor K 304.
