Bembridge Village Hall will host some of the finest locally created art and craft for two days over the August Bank Holiday weekend. It’s an opportunity for residents and visitors alike to appreciate the quality and range of the work on display.

Charlotte Hodge Thomas’ striking coastal paintings will sit alongside Sue Stitt’s iPad illustrations of local scenes; Sheila Luke and Penny Walford will offer further seascapes inspired by our coastline. David Ives creates individual sculptures and fluid shapes in wood, with items for the home made by Bembridge Men in Sheds from Bembridge windmill wood. Pollyanna Bareham uses mixed media to interpret the influence of the sea, while Caroline Knox produces lithographs and Penny Rich presents a range of ceramics. Many local residents have been sympathetically portrayed by Jeremy Gully. Jenna Long of Bytheseadesigns will present her unique jewellery for one day. Verena Sparrow captures scenes on crab-shells and paints plants on silk.

The exhibition is open from 10am to 5pm on Friday 27th and Saturday 28th August. Admission is free and refreshments will be available.
