After leaving Art College Paul spent twenty years as a full-time freelance artist and has held several solo exhibitions, selling paintings worldwide. Paul says:

“After the arrival of digital, I put down my brushes and experimented with alternative still images, moving image, music-making, photography and writing. In 2019, having made space for a studio I rediscovered painting in oils on canvas.”

Paul’s one-man exhibitions have included: The Barbican Centre, Studio 17 Mayfair and The Mermaid Theatre (London); at The Royal Exchange Manchester; and The Royal Liverpool Philharmonic. Other selected/group exhibitions include: Manchester Academy; Lancashire Artists; Merseyside Contemporary Artists;
The Laing Collection; and Casemates 1, Mons, Belgium.
