Sandy Kendall's background in life drawing and a desire to create dynamically has a major bearing on her current work. She says “using the body as a vehicle for exploring mixed media, history of art and myth is tremendously rewarding, as the possibilities are vast and the subject matter is all encompassing.”

Sandy trained at Winchester School of Art; Nottingham and Trent University with Fine Art degree modules in printmaking; life drawing at Basingstoke College of Technology; and BA (Hons) in Painting with the Open College of the Arts. She is currently shortlisted for the Trinity Buoy Wharf Drawing Prize, which will soon be touring venues across the UK.
