The Isle of Wight Gardens Trust is offering a free guided walk as part of the Heritage Open Days Festival.

This starts at Appley Park (parking charges apply). It then passes St John’s House - originally landscaped by Humphry Repton - and St John’s Church before exploring the lost gardens of St John’s Park, Ryde, a private Victorian parkland unique on the Isle of Wight.

The event takes one and a half hours. Booking is not necessary but be aware that the walk includes unpaved paths which may not be accessible to all.
